Hey, this Poet and the Flea looks really promising. Not like anything else out there. And, of course, by writing and illustrating it you’ll be following in the footsteps of Blake. Can’t wait to see where it goes. -v

In the early 1990s, I turned down the chance to take a class in William Blake. His belief system sounded so crackpot that I couldn’t imagine he’d be interesting. Wish I’d taken it now. Your illustrations humanise the man, make me want to know more about him.

Thank you so much for your comment! I wish I could take a class on Blake!!! I’m by no means a Blake expert, but I’ve carefully researched him for this project. His thinking was certainly radical for the time, but I do think those thoughts have merit. He did have visions, but I don’t think he was insane. I’m glad that my work has given you a fresh interest in Blake! If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask.
